This handsome Downy Woodpecker comes to my backyard quite often to see what there is to munch on and I am always impressed with his coordination and agility. Hope you enjoy watching him dine and entertain at the same time.

This is a female Downy ( without the red patch) who comes frequently also – maybe a significant other? We may never know – Downys don’t mate for life, it’s just a summer romance.
Downys love suet !
